The MS KV24-USB2 USB to RS232 serial converter cable 2x5 IDC is a fast and simple way to connect EA SER serial text displays and EA KIT graphic touch panels to a USB port.
The USB cable incorporates the FTDI FT232RQ USB to RS232 interface. If the display connected draws less then 75mA then 5V supply can be supplied from the USB cable and no other supply voltage to the display is required. The 2x5 connector on the MS KV24-USB2 connects directly to the EA SER or EA KIT displays.
The first time the USB cable connects a driver is required. Virtual COM or Direct USB drivers can be downloaded from www.ftdichip.com
