EA SER162-CNLED Serial UART text display 2x16 (4.35mm character height) with RS-232 interface and yellow/green LED backlight. Incl. on/off comand. Various baud rates, addressable. Display supplied with frontal bezel. 

• Supply voltage +5V DC (For optional 9 to 35V supply add option OPT EA OPT-9/35V)
• LED backlight controlled On/Off with software command
• High contrast supertwist LCD
• Selectable baud rate setting with program link 300, 1200, 2400 and 9600 baud
• Serial data voltage level can be setup for 5V CMOS or +/-12V RS232 level.
• Onboard contrast adjustment with temparature compensation
• For optional RS-422 interface add part EA OPT-RS422
• For RS232 cable 1.5m with 9D plug add part EA KV24-9B 

All incoming serial data is interpreted as ASCII data and displayed. As the display fills up, the characters automatically scroll to the top.

CR/LF are recognized and executed. FF (12d/$0C) clears the display.

Commands are available to set the cursor, cursor position, backlight On/Off and set upto 6 free to use outputs. For full list of all commands see datasheet.  

All commands start with Esc (27d = 0x1B) followed by the command.
