MMS Electronics has available a new Raspberry Pi Zero adapter board, to seamlessly integrate small size displays, 1.5 to 3.5 inch with the Raspberry Pi Zero. This compact, single-board computer benefits significantly from a small TFT display, enhancing its usability. The Raspberry Pi Zero has an HDMI interface that can be used for larger screens but with this adapter also smaller IPS TFT displays such as TFT015, TFT020, TFT028 and TFT035 can connect. These displays are also available with a PCAP touch-screen. The adapter board plugs directly into the Raspberry Pi Zero GPIO connector, powering the colour display and optional touch-panel.
Free Raspberry Pi code is supplied, we provide overlay files and testcode to write content to display as well as reading the touch screen. Additionally, SD-Card images with the overlay files are provided. A flexible FPC cable, available in various lengths, ensures a reliable connection. The low power consumption of these TFT displays makes them ideal for battery-powered or energy-efficient IoT applications.
The displays from DISPLAY VISIONS are distributed by MMS Electronics and are recognised for long term product availability. Highly recommended for use in new designs.
What is an IPS-TFT display? In-Plane switching is a technology that improves the viewing limitations of conventional TFT displays. In IPS TFT displays the light conducting liquid crystals are aligned parallel to the image plane. This means that colours and contrast remain brilliant and stable even when the viewing angle changes. These IPS TFT graphic displays have long term product availability and are highly recommended for use in new designs.
