EA 9980-TFT interface board is designed to provide an easy and fast way to connect TFT display that are fitted with a 50 or 39 pin FPC ribbon cable. The EA 9980-TFT has both a 1.0mm pitch 50 pin ZIF connector and 0.3 mm pitch 39 pin ZIF connector fitted. The ZIF connector contacts are brought out to a 2.54 mm pitch to allow easy connection to breadboards or boards from the Arduino or Rapberry PI world.

The board also includes TPS61165, a high brightness White LED driver with brightness control. The LED current is set by 6 solder bridges connected to the onboard resistor. The TPS61165 allows to dimm the LED brightness by PWM control. 

Additionally the EA 9980-TFT interface PCB has a 6 pin and 10 pin ZIF connector fitted to connect a potential touchpanel.

1.5" EA TFT015-22AITC IPS colour display with 240x240x3 dots and 4 different interfaces. The active area of the IPS colour display measures 28 mm square with a resolution of 240x240 pixels and 16 bit colour resolution. External module size is 44x46x5.3 mm with VA 28.5x28.5 mm. The high brightness of 1,000 cd/m² ensures high-contrast display even under extreme light conditions, such as bright sunlight or bright indoor lights. Unlike other LCD screens, the contrast of this IPS panel remains nearly the same at every angle, even at very oblique viewing angles. And as this IPS display also uses AACS technology (All-Angle-Colour-Stability) so does the colour. 

EA TFT015-22AITC is 16 bit RGB and has an 8 and 16 bit parallel interface and an SPI interface to the onboard controller ST7789V. The PCAP touch-screen interface is I2C. The supply voltage is 3.3 V and low current consumption of typically 20 to 80 mA making this display ideal for use in battery-operated handheld devices. Wide temperature range from -20 to 70 °C.

This display has long-term availability, safe for use in new designs. Only one FPC cable is used for all signals, FPC pitch is 0.3mm.  This display is also available without the touch panel EA TFT015-22AI.

MMS Electronics Ltd provides developers with evaluation board EA 9782-1USB for the small IPS displays from the Display Visions. This board allows for quick and easy testing of the small TFT panels size 0.9", 1.5", 2.0", 2.8" and 3.5" including those with PCAP touch function (-AITC).

No specific knowledge of the hardware or software is required. Simply power up the USB on the evaluation board and the connected IPS display becomes active. Additionally when the EA 9782-1USB evaluation board is connected to a Windows PC and the startTFT.exe program is executed (which can be downloaded for free), it opens up more options to display your own images, write text, change orientation and control the brightness.
