The Smartec infrared sensor SMT IR9902Sil is a sophisticated full silicon infrared sensor with built in temperature sensor (Ni) and silicone lens for a small 7.27° viewing angle . This sensor can be used for measuring non contact radiation temperature. The sensor is fitted with a 5.5 µm high pass filter. For different radiation temperature ranges other filters are available. An amplifier and interface is required before the voltage can be digitised and referenced to the temperature .
