MMS Electronics is now offering a new Smart display with programmable controller and I/O from DISPLAY VISIONS. The EA uniTFTs015-ATC is the smallest display in the uniTFT series, but it still packs the same powerful features as the larger screen sizes.
Designing a product with a color TFT display and touch screen doesn't have to be complicated. The EA uniTFTs smart displays make it easy to get your project off the ground. With an integrated graphics controller, extensive graphics functions, USB, I²C, SPI, and serial interfaces, these displays are ready to run without any additional peripherals.
The EA uniTFTs displays use improved IPS-Panels with AACS technology (All Angle Color Stability). This means that the contrast and colors are retained even at extreme viewing angles. With high brightness (typ. 1,000 cd/m² and above), the displays are readable in direct sunlight. They also feature optically bonded PCAP touch for a responsive and accurate user experience. All EA uniTFTs displays are programmed using the new uniTFTDesigner Windows software tool. This IDE boasts a simple drag-and-drop interface with simulator and numerous ready-to-run examples. You can start with simple button presses and actions, or create more advanced applications that read sensors attached to the I²C, SPI, or serial port and display the measured values on the display as numerical values, graphs, or gauge instruments.
To show how powerful and easy to use the EA uniTFTs displays are, MMS Electronics Ltd. offers various DEMOPACKs. These kits include a 2.8" EA uniTFTs028-ATC Smart display, as well as a variety of sensors and other peripherals. MMS Electronics Ltd provides developers with evaluation board EA 9782-1USB for the small IPS displays from the Display Visions EA TFT product line. This board allows for quick and easy testing and adaptation of small TFT panels size 0.9", 1.5", 2.0", 2.8" and 3.5" including those with PCAP touch function (-AITC).
No specific knowledge of the hardware or software is required. Simply power up the USB on the evaluation board and the connected IPS display becomes active. Additionally when the EA 9782-1USB evaluation board is connected to a Windows PC and the startTFT.exe program is executed (which can be downloaded for free), it opens up more options to display your own images, write text, change orientation and control the brightness. The evaluation board is available on it's own or can be ordered as a bundle including the IPS colour display.

MMS Electronics Ltd has a new square graphic display EA TFT015-22AI from Display Visions. This low power, crisp and bright display with IPS technology offers all-round viewing angle and readability in sunlight.
The active area of the IPS colour display measures 28 mm square with a resolution of 240x240 pixels and 16 bit colour resolution. External module size is 32x35x3.2 mm. The high brightness of 1,100 cd/m² ensures high-contrast display even under extreme light conditions, such as bright sunlight or bright indoor lights. Unlike other LCD screens, the contrast of this IPS panel remains nearly the same at every angle, even at very oblique viewing angles. As this IPS display also uses AACS technology (All-Angle-Colour-Stability) also the colour remains the same at all angles.
EA TFT015-22AI is 16 bit RGB and has an 18 bit or 8 bit parallel and SPI control interface. The supply voltage is 3.3 V and low current consumption of typically 20 to 80 mA making this display ideal for use in battery-operated handheld devices. Wide temperature range from -20 to 70 °C.
This colour IPS panel is also available with a PCAP capacitive touch screen, part number EA TFT015-22AITC. The display with PCAP touch is slightly larger 44x46x3.5 mm and has a maximum brightness of 1,000 cd/m². The diplay with PCAP touch can easily and securely be positioned and glued onto the enclosure surface with 3M tape.
For evaluation, testing or quick connection to microcontrollers MMS Electronics supplies a USB demo board EA 9782-1USB and breakout board EA 9980-TFT. The EA 9782-1USB demo board accepts small TFT panels in size 0.9", 1.5", 2.0", 2.8" and 3.5" including those with PCAP touch function.
EA TFT015-22AI and TFT015-22AITC are available with MOQ starting at 1 pcs. The displays are recommended for use in new designs and availability is guaranteed for at least ten years.
This 1.5" display is also available as a Smart EA uniTFTs015-ATC HMI display with PCAP touch, complete with I/O and RS-232, I2C, SPI and USB interface. The EA uniTFTs015-ATC is programmed with the easy to use drag and drop uniTFTdesigner software.
MMS Electronics supplies IPS displays in the following sizes: 0.96", 1.5", 2.0", 2.8", 3.5", 4.3", 5.0", 7.0" and 10.1". The displays are available with or without capacitive, multi-gesture PCAP touch panel.
