MMS Electronics Ltd has a new square graphic display EA TFT015-22AI from Display Visions. This low power, crisp and bright display with IPS technology offers all-round viewing angle and readability in sunlight.
The active area of the IPS colour display measures 28 mm square with a resolution of 240x240 pixels and 16 bit colour resolution. External module size is 32x35x3.2 mm. The high brightness of 1,100 cd/m² ensures high-contrast display even under extreme light conditions, such as bright sunlight or bright indoor lights. Unlike other LCD screens, the contrast of this IPS panel remains nearly the same at every angle, even at very oblique viewing angles. As this IPS display also uses AACS technology (All-Angle-Colour-Stability) also the colour remains the same at all angles.
EA TFT015-22AI is 16 bit RGB and has an 18 bit or 8 bit parallel and SPI control interface. The supply voltage is 3.3 V and low current consumption of typically 20 to 80 mA making this display ideal for use in battery-operated handheld devices. Wide temperature range from -20 to 70 °C.
This colour IPS panel is also available with a PCAP capacitive touch screen, part number EA TFT015-22AITC. The display with PCAP touch is slightly larger 44x46x3.5 mm and has a maximum brightness of 1,000 cd/m². The diplay with PCAP touch can easily and securely be positioned and glued onto the enclosure surface with 3M tape.
For evaluation, testing or quick connection to microcontrollers MMS Electronics supplies a USB demo board EA 9782-1USB and breakout board EA 9980-TFT. The EA 9782-1USB demo board accepts small TFT panels in size 0.9", 1.5", 2.0", 2.8" and 3.5" including those with PCAP touch function.
EA TFT015-22AI and TFT015-22AITC are available with MOQ starting at 1 pcs. The displays are recommended for use in new designs and availability is guaranteed for at least ten years.
This 1.5" display is also available as a Smart EA uniTFTs015-ATC HMI display with PCAP touch, complete with I/O and RS-232, I2C, SPI and USB interface. The EA uniTFTs015-ATC is programmed with the easy to use drag and drop uniTFTdesigner software.

MMS Electronics has available EA RaPICOTFT009 from DISPLAY VISIONS. This shield, designed for use with the Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller board drives a 0.96 inch IPS TFT display EA TFT009-81AINN (without touchpanel) or the EA TFT009-81ATC (with PCAP capacitive touchpanel). This small high definition display (27.9x13.5 mm) has a resolution of 160x180 pixels. The high brightness and wide viewing angle stability of the IPS panel guarantee excellent readability, even under poor light conditions. The powerful LED backlight integrated with this IPS TFT display produces a brightness of up to 500 cd/m². As a result, the display is readability in direct sunlight or even under dazzling lights. With IPS (In-panel-switching) and AACT (All-angle-colour) technology the colour and contrast remain stable regardless of the viewing angle.
The EA RaPICOTFT009 is supplied with the software and C library, numerous functions and detailed documentation. Designed as a “shield”, it can be connected directly to the Rapberry Pi Pico.The Rapberry Pi Pico only uses one of the two SPI interfaces, and one of the 26 GPIO pins (GP13) to drive the EA RAPicoTFT009. The touchscreen version EA RaPicoTFT009TC also uses the I²C bus interface and another GPIO pin (GP8) as an interrupt.
The energy-efficient screen (max. 80 mW) is perfectly suited to various IOT applications. The small dimensions the display makes it suitable for wearables, measuring probes, sensor products and handheld electronic devices.

MMS Electronics supplies and stocks a wide range of mini graphic displays in LCD, OLED and TFT technologies from European display supplier DISPLAY VISIONS. The displays are available with optional analogue touch panels.
The micro-displays are hardly bigger than a stamp and are available in both OLED and IPS-TFT technology offering sharp contrast in all viewing directions.
The EA W096016 OLED displays are 0.84 inches diagonally with a resolution of 96 x 16 white pixels and active area (AA) of 21 x 3.5 mm. For OLED displays no extra LED backlight is required as the OLED pixels illuminate. This results that the display is only 1.3 mm thick. The integrated graphic controller is SSD1306B is. The operating temperature for these displays is between -40°C to +80°Celsius and unchanged short response time of 10 microseconds. The EA W096016-ALW module has an I²C interface bus with flex stamp solder tail and the EA W096016-BLW has an I²C interface bus and SPI interface with a 34mm flex for a ZIF plug connection.

The EA TFT009-81 colour IPS_TFT displays are 0.96 inches diagonally with a resolution of 160x80 pixels and active area (AA) of 22 x 11 mm. The IPS technology with All Angle Colour Stability (AACS) provides unchanged colour and contrasts even with changing viewing angles. They can be used without loss in quality in portrait (80 x 160) or landscape mode (160 x 80). The brightness of the EA TFT009-81 display is typically 500 cd/m² and is readable in direct sunlight. Applications can be found in instrumentation, industry and medicine. The display is only 1.5 mm thick (without touch panel). The integrated graphic controller is ST7735S and has a 3 or 4-wire SPI interface with flex stamp solder tail. The EA TFT009-81AITC version has a PCAP touch panel. The touch panel is controlled via the I²C bus interface and flex for a ZIF plug connection.
